The Upper Horfield Regeneration of new social rented homes is now complete. Over 400 homes have been developed over the last five year. The area now comprises a range of flats (2 bed), houses (2, 3 & 4 bed) and bungalows (2 & 3 bed).
The homes for affordable rent are mixed with privately owned homes throughout the development. A common external design approach has been used to make it difficult to distinguish between the different tenures. All the new homes have been designed to be accessible. There are shared surfaces and home zones throughout which are designed to minimise through traffic and encourage walking and cycling.
